Campus Recreation Center Locker Rooms NOW OPEN. Locker/Towel policy in effect January 29.

Campus Recreation consists of three facilities: Campus Recreation Center, the Aquatics Center, and the Challenge Course.

Campus Recreation Center

Group Fitness Rooms

The group fitness rooms (223 and 225) are used throughout the year for group fitness classes. Rooms are not available for open recreation and require a reservation through Texan Sync.

Weight Room and Cardio

The weight room includes a large section of free weights and a comprehensive machine area . Both our free weight and machine areas consist of Hoist equipment.

Campus Recreation also provides members with a 1/11 mile track and over 60 cardio machines. Machines include:

  • Cross trainers
  • Stair steppers
  • Treadmills
  • Recumbent cycles
  • Upright cycles
  • Rowers

Climbing Wall

The indoor climbing wall offers bouldering and top-rope climbing, which provides members with a safe and innovative opportunity to promote growth, team building, as well as communication and trust.

Hours of Operation are:

Monday-Friday: 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Saturday: CLOSED

Sunday: 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

 All equipment for this facility must be kept in the area of activities and exercises in which it relates.
Aquatics Center

Indoor Pool

The Aquatics Center indoor pool features an 8-lane, 25-yard pool with depths from 3.5 feet to 8 feet.

Outdoor Pool

The Outdoor Pool features a leisure pool with a tanning area as well as cabanas that are available for private rentals. Other outdoor activities include water basketball, volleyball, and group fitness classes.

Classroom

The wet classroom in the Aquatics Center is not open to the public but is included in the rental of our indoor pool.

Challenge Course

The Tarleton State University challenge course is a facility hosting high and low elements which provide clientele with a safe and creative way of implementing team-building skills among colleagues, student organizations, and more.
