Student Counseling Services is proud to present a free online certification course in Adult Mental Health First Aid. In partnership with MHMR Tarrant County, we are able to provide this course for free to anyone in our Tarleton Community.

About Mental Health First Aid: Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

There are two different types of the MHFA Training – Adult & Youth. The Adult curriculum is designed to certify adults in helping other adults. The Youth curriculum is designed to certify adults in helping youth.

Participants will complete a 2-hour, self-paced online class, and then participate in a 5.5-hour, Instructor-led videoconference

When : 11am-5pm on the dates listed below (Click on the date to register to attend a MHFA course)
