B.A. in Communication Studies

Overview

Faculty and staff in Communication Studies are dedicated to educational and societal development of students, in a progressive, relaxed atmosphere of learning and mentoring. Students who choose to major in Communication Studies may select from a variety of minors to complement their career aspirations, and students who choose to major in other fields will be able to choose Communication Studies as a minor. There are three different concentration options to choose from in our degree. These concentrations or minors are offered on select campuses. Only the Professional and Relational Communication program is offered at our Fort Worth campus:

Jump Right In

Many of our graduates go into fields related to their major concentration, such as:

  • Public Relations 
  • Media Relations 
  • Event Management 
  • Fundraising for Non-Profit Organizations 
  • Social Media Communication 

We currently have graduates of our program who hold positions in various communication fields, at big name companies such as the Kelly-Hart Law Firm and Alcon.
