Environmental Engineering (Bachelor of Science)

The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering degree provide a one-of-a-kind program that prepares students for work in the Environmental Engineering industry. Students who graduate with this degree will be well equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for work as an Engineer, for engineering licensure, as well as for graduate studies. Environmental Engineers apply their knowledge and studies in the following areas:

  • Environmental Restoration & Remediation
  • Water/Wastewater Treatment
  • Hydrology & Hydraulics
  • Natural Resource Management

These areas are used in Environmental Engineering to design the pieces, processes, and systems to meet industry guidelines, which will reduce the negative effects of human activities on the environment. Graduates of this program will also gain the ability to work and communicate effectively in team-oriented, project-management driven environments.

Designed With You in Mind

Preparing you for your future is our number one priority. You will engage in hands-on application of a wide range of engineering, math, and science concepts to work toward innovative, real-world solutions. Our facilities and equipment are comparable to that of large institutions, providing you with access to standard industry tools and undergraduate research opportunities. Our faculty and institution are dedicated to student success. We provide a variety of academic success service including faculty/peer monitoring, supplemental instruction, math/science clinics, and tutoring.

Impact the World of Tomorrow

In today’s world of rapid change, innovative solutions are needed to both preserve the health of the environment and restore it to its natural condition and plan the use of resources in a sustainable manner. A degree in Environmental Engineering will prepare you to develop these solutions through exciting careers in both the private sector and public sector; these include opportunities in:

  • Urban flood control and management
  • Water/Wastewater Treatment
  • Graduate programs in Environmental Engineering & Water Resources

And other related fields.

Jump Right In

All Environmental Engineering students start out in the Engineering program. At orientation, students will meet with an Engineering Advisor, where they will be assisted in choosing classes based on data from math placement testing, SAT/ACT scores, high school experience, and more.
