This wide variety of subjects and the skills you will learn in them provide you with a flexible degree that is highly marketable. Because your occupational specialization is complemented with an academic foundation, numerous Industrial Technology courses and approved electives, you are guaranteed a well-rounded education which enables you to be as adaptable to a changing market as your degree plan is adaptable to your needs.
When combined with our emphasis areas in either Industrial Design, General Industrial Technology, or Manufacturing Operations, the Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology becomes even more valuable. It allows you to tailor your experience at Tarleton to best fit your goals after graduation.
You may also choose to supplement your Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology with the Technology Education option. This plan prepares you for a career teaching Industrial Technology. Subjects you will be prepared to teach within the Technology Education curriculum include manufacturing technology, energy technology and communication technology.
Tarleton’s Industrial Technology graduates have accepted positions as numerical control programmers, production supervisors, manufacturing engineers, plant managers, machinists, welders, contractors, and computer-aided designers, just to name a few. Our graduates are also prepared to move into future positions that have not yet been defined or developed because at Tarleton, you do not learn outdated methods but adaptable skills and problem-solving methods.
