Historically, students participating in the Animal Science Living Learning Community enjoy a University retention rate higher than their peers. This Living Learning Community specifically supports students planning a career in all areas utilizing the Animal Science degree.

Since 2016, students participating in the Agriculture Living Learning Community have retained at the University at a higher rate than their peers. This Living Learning Community encompasses all majors within the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences except Animal Science (separate LLC).

The Animal Science Living Learning Community members have an interest in one of the six concentrations in this major. Concentrations offered: Animal Industries, Animal Production, Animal Science, Food, Nutrition, and Meat Applications, Pre-Veterinary Medicine, Range and Ranch Management
