The mission of Tarleton’s Academic Resource Center is to assist students in developing effective techniques for facilitating their own learning. There are many resources including tutoring services and supplemental instruction.

Calculator Rental

Need a Calculator? Can’t afford one? The Math Club and T.E.A.M. has you covered!

Come by Room 142 in the Mathematics Building to rent a calculator for $30 for the entire semester.

What a deal!

This is a Math Club/TEAM fundraiser. Cash or check only.

All calculators are rented for the semester. They are due back to the Mathematics Office after your Mathematics final. Any calculator that is not returned in working condition will result with a hold on your record. Any lost or damaged calculator is $50.00. Any NSpire that is lost or damaged is $60.00.

Math Achievement Center Tutor

  • Must have successfully completed at least Calculus I with a grade of B or better
  • Must have an overall GPA of at least 3.0.

The Math Achievement Center is a free tutoring service provided by the Mathematics department. It is located in Room #203 in the Mathematics Building. Our tutors are either graduate teaching assistants or undergraduate students that have a strong mathematics background. Tutors are expected to attend meetings that are held regularly throughout each semester, as well as complete training activities. Must not be afraid to approach a student to ask them if they need help. Must have a desire to help others, and patience to help others succeed.
