Clean and Sanitize
Regular cleaning and sanitizing of frequently touched surfaces is encouraged — doorknobs, light switches, sink handles, countertops, keyboards and cell phones. While cleaning crews are taking extra precautions to clean and disinfect public areas, students and employees can help by wiping down individual residential rooms and apartments, work spaces and equipment.
Hand sanitizing stations and sanitizing wipes are located across campus. To nudge good personal hygiene, directions for proper hand washing are located in public restrooms. The CDC recommends washing hands with soap and water for 20 seconds. Also avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
To reduce your risk of catching or spreading COVID-19, stay home if you feel sick, even if your symptoms are mild. Do not come to class or work. Opt for online learning or work if possible.
Students and employees who test positive for COVID-19 are required to self-report. Faculty and staff should inform their supervisor.
