Tarleton Industrial Development and Education Initiative
The Mission of the Tarleton Industrial Development and Education Initiative (TIDE) is to strengthen the economy in local communities while creating, developing, and sustaining small businesses and manufacturers through training, technical, applied engineering consulting services. Leveraging over one million dollars of production equipment and resources from the Department of Engineering Technology, the Tarleton Industrial Development and Education Initiative is able to deliver meaningful support and services to small businesses and manufactures by providing:
- Professional certification programs that allow an individual or entire organization to upgrade their skills in topics like Six Sigma, Supply Chain and Quality, Parametric Modeling, and more.
- Consulting services and training programs to such as process improvement to regional manufacturing companies
These resources combined with current faculty versed in engineering research and real world manufacturing experience serve to strengthen the economy in local communities while creating, developing, and sustaining small businesses. Through this initiative, we are also able to offer valuable opportunities to Tarleton students as they collaborate with faculty and business professionals to address real world problems.
